On topic...
looks like fd's lost the plot.
being a swinging voter I do wish he'd drop the Abbott association thing he has going.
Ideologues seldom get things right.

Seriously, what sort of fucking idiot begs for a tax?
Not only that, it's a tax that does absolutely nothing

From the US.
He'll ignore this one too...
it's based on IPCC assumptions. :rofl
Using assumptions based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Assessment Reports, if the U.S. as a whole stopped emitting all carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions immediately, the ultimate impact on projected global temperature rise would be a reduction, or a "savings," of approximately 0.08°C by the year 2050 and 0.17°C by the year 2100—amounts that are, for all intents and purposes, negligible.

Yes. You read that correctly. If America magically reduced our carbon dioxide emissions to zero overnight, the world would be 0.08°C cooler by 2050. The reason is simple—the majority of new carbon dioxide emissions will come from developing countries. A U.S.-only carbon tax would have no noticeable impact on global temperature.

A carbon tax would harm the economy, reduce economic growth, and hinder job creation. At the same time, it would not have any noticeable impact on global temperature. That cost is too great for every American.
I did try to point this out to fd and get him to reply with some specifics, but sigh.... no luck.
Of course Australia has nowhere near the emissions of the largest emitters.
bet he chokes on that too. :rofl

How do you figure... our disagreeing with him, his inability to understand English, makes Abbott the one with comprehension problems?

That's what we've been trying to tell you. Abbott is the one with comprehension problems unfortunately. Glad you've woken up to that fact.

Seems to me he has been comprehending and communicating far better with the majority of Australians than any other politician.

Although you are only used to slavering over Bob Brown along with less that 10% of the population and listening for the coming of the Greens utopia for the Earthians where free money grows on trees, no one has to work or shower and everyone gets high by inhaling unicorn farts.

That's the problem. No-one has a clue as to what Abbott stands for or what his policies are. The media has done such a good hatchet job on Gillard and the sheep have fallen for it.

Abbott won't win on any credibility. He'll win because he's not Gillard. You've all forgotten why Howard was voted out and Abbott is only a poor man's version of him.
