Yesterday I heard him skiting to Ray Hadley that he would immediately get rid of 12,000 useless public servants. How will those 12,000 workers feel after hearing that? The interview was immediately cut.

They are a drain on the tax-payer, we cant afford Labors bureaucracy, it's as simple as that.

Does freediver get paid/funded to host sites filled with pro-government propaganda?

Is he one of these useless public servants we begrudge paying?

http://pressabout.us/ozpolitic.com

Is it fare that the tax payer should pay for the very propaganda they are opposed to, the propaganda sprouting economically destructive environmental 'warmer' policy that's destroying our country?

8-)

Similarly, we shouldn't have to pay the ABC to feed us shit either.

I say privatise the fucker. Sell it off.

Do you think he should get paid to host sites filled with anti-government propaganda which litters PA and Ozpolitic?

He also told the wealthy re superannuation "I'll let you keep your money". Very tempting - pity they only comprise 30% of voters, but Abbott's trying to appeal to those with influence. The remaining 70% without influence won't know what's hit them if he gets voted in. [snip] ....

Abbott has hardly said anything about "this government", as far as I am aware, he has been fairly quiet, letting "this government" dig their own grave. ;)

A majority of the 12,000 useless public servants cited are NOT required .... Rudd/Gillard opened entire Departments and stacked them with these "useless public servants". Closing a couple of Departments/Agencies (the Climate Change one, for example) would see a huge drop in the public service. All good.

Many so-called public servants that would lose their jobs are "consultants" earning $120,000 plus. They will just move back to Sydney or wherever. House prices in Canberra will go down and those wanting to buy their first home will be happy. All good.

In any case, Abbott can't actually sack public servants. You can only be sacked it you murder someone or commit some other crime that sends you to Gaol. They will try to weed out the "useless ones" by offering a Redundancy Package. That is, they will get offered 2 weeks salary for each year of service, plus their Long Service Leave and accrued Holiday Pay. Sick Pay does accrue but you do not get paid for it when you leave.

The Public Service is chock full of dead wood ... most are just hanging around, waiting for a "package". The ATO takes their tax out of this "package" too. Forgotten what but maybe 15% tax? All good.

As far as Superannuation is concerned, this was set up (by the ALP if I recall) so that the average person would be forced to save for their own Retirement and not continue on expecting the younger generation to pay for them to be an Aged Pensioner. This is good too.

Do you really think there are only 30% of the population who considers themselves "wealthy". What is wealthy. Mantra?

Maybe that should go to a referendum. I think it has some excellent quality shows and it's a pleasant change to watch a station without commercials.

Mantra, I thought you were politically aware. I am shocked that you are unaware what a REFERENDUM means/covers. Check it out.http://www.aph.gov.au/

Any Government can Privatise a Government Organisation such as the ABC. The sooner the better in my opinion.

Is Freediver a public servant Mantra?

And is freediver the original owner of Ozpolitic?

Theres some confusion as to who owns it.
Update: Bryan is alive and well. Currently working for the government/public service. See comment below

Robert Chalmers -vrs- Bryan Palmers or are they one in the same?

I don't have a problem with Freediver Mantra, or his sites, I just would like to know if they are being funded however indirectly by the government or any political partys.

It's for my own personal interest, i'm researching "Third Way" propaganda at present, and just wanted to know if his sites were among them.

There are a lot more than 12,000 Federal public servants. Do you think any one of them would vote for the Coalition believing they could get the sack?
Many so-called public servants that would lose their jobs are "consultants" earning $120,000 plus. They will just move back to Sydney or wherever. House prices in Canberra will go down and those wanting to buy their first home will be happy. All good.
It's as simple as that is it? Those who are sacked will just add to the unemployed and suddenly - as with all new governments after massive sackings - they have to employ new staff. So we're constantly giving the sacked PS's huge payouts, then employing more to fill their place - next government gets in and the whole process starts over again. That is a huge waste of taxpayer's money.

If the leader of a government can't sack public servants - how did Campbell Newman manage to get rid of so many in his first month or so in government?

The huge government funded contributions for those with incomes over $250,000 was set up by the Coalition at the same time they gave retired millionaires pensions. The idea is to reduce the amount of pensions the tax payers are forced to subsidise not increase them.
Do you really think there are only 30% of the population who considers themselves "wealthy". What is wealthy. Mantra?
Wealth is relative. From the comments I've heard recently from those over $250,000 - they all claim to be poor and struggling. So where does that leave a person on an income of say $30,000. Look at Gina Rinehart - she will always be poor and never have enough money, so does that mean she should get her super topped up also by the low income tax payer?
