PS. Opposition is all about being negative. You cannot run a govt from opposition but you can point out when a govt cannot run govt and this particular govt just keeps not only providing the ammo, they are supplying the artillery, loading them and placing them in the oppositions hands.
This govt has been a failure on every level

I know you can't speak on behalf of others but you might have a suggestion. "I remind and encourage them he is the most effective Leader of the Opposition ever, but they immediately respond with a wish he never become PM. Why is that?"
Why do you think (suggest) that any staunch rusted on Liberal Party Member says that they do not want Tony as PM? It bothers me a lot.

I haven't come across any libs that think that. Everyone I know thinks he is doing a bang up job
Perhaps you mix with people where they prefer to swallow Liebor spin and read garbage from the likes of Susan whatshername in the SMH or the Age (two rags I wouldn't wipe my arse on...and neither would their investors or the general public judging by their share price) rather than critically think for themselves?
You have to admit that attacking TA has been the only trick up the govt sleeve to try and take the heat off themselves...and that is not only transparently evident but failing miserably

Re: Yet another labor leader change
Although I believe Abbott would be fairly honest, is this quality alone enough for him to be a good leader? He has spruiked nothing but bad news since he's been opposition leader and produced no policies of any substance. However Julia Gillard is so disliked by the country that Labor will be wiped out at the next election.
The Labor powerbrokers are panicking - because they've made the same mistake federally as they did in NSW - changing leaders because they don't know what they're doing. The alleged corruption involving Eddie Obeid and his son currently being investigated means that the country is basically being run by shonks - this was evidenced by the latest decision to bring over 2000 foreign workers for Gina Reinhart and they are not temporary workers. Nothing has been said about 457 visas and some of the jobs are permanent and required for at least ten years. Have these workers been offered residency?
I doubt they will replace Gillard with Rudd - probably Bill Shorten, which will put the final nail in their coffin.

The Liberal Party is in OPPOSITION. Opposition is not the Government, if you haven't already noticed. The Liberal Party Policies are on their site http://www.liberal.org.au/Policies.aspx. Read them! Once an Election has been called, they will no doubt announce more Policies. Bad opposition is about being negative. Opposition should be about doing right for the country, something Abbott will never comprehend, he's too happy being negative.IQS.RLOW wrote:PS. Opposition is all about being negative.

"Yet another labor leader change"
Makes it sound like there have been a lot of changes in leadership.
The last change of leadership in the major parties was labor, when Julia knifed Kevin. The time before that was when Tony rogered Malcolm, I do believe... before that, Malcom had to step up, seeing as John lost his seat?
Have I got the timeline right?

Showbag Shorten wants his turn on the Labor leadership merry-go-round, and GG mummy-in-law Bryce will do her best to ensure he's first in line.

Just wait and see.

With our Champaign socialists, political donations, vested, mutual business interests are everything.
The Bryce family have their fingers in allot of things, including our becoming a "republic' Australia and an NBN.
No wonder they would have preferred a Malcolm Turnbull...in fact, I think he's GG Bryces bastard love child.
Recall this speech ....though have political donations become more transparent since this pledge?

Billy wants his turn on the leadership merry-go-round, it's as simple as that.
