Seems that the Libs were right to shun the Greens and the populace has embraced the disendorsement of the watermelon party.
Lets hope the rest of Liebor doesn't wake up to that fact and continues chasing the leftard vote where both loser parties can be relagated to obscurity arguing of the semantics of useless leftard policy

The average lifespan of a state or federal government in Australia is around about 10 years, so after 11 years in power, Victorian Labor has had a pretty good innings.
So convinced were the electorate that the fibs would make an outstanding alternative, they appear to have delivered a devastating...............hung parliament
Of course, we know that this state election result is proof of the electorate's rejection of the federal government's evil, Stalinist NBN

Sorry - a probable 2 seat margin more than a hung parliament margin. What a ringing endorsement for a change of government.........NOT!

Victoria needed a change - but Baillieu, although full of huff and puff - might not be any different.
Labor will be gone in NSW also after the next state election in March. Under the Coalition - all the states and territories were Labor run and NSW has had a good run - 15 years. The same is happening now under a Federal Labor government - we'll see all the States Coalition run.
O'Farrell won't win because of his party's merits - but because Labor is on the nose here. In fact the Libs have no policies and no substance - but it will still be an easy victory with the job handed to them on a platter.
Both major parties are abysmal at present.
It wouldn't surprise me if the liberals preference Labor and vice versa. As long as the media keeps up its obsessive chanting that the Greens are dangerous - the sheep will follow their lead. The major parties don't want any competition and the media is helping them achieve this. They'll get rid of the Independents also - so it will be back to the same old choice of Tweedledum or Tweedledee.

The Greens are no improvement on the two main parties tho Mantra. Their rejection of the CPRS was a foolish move that has seen a collapse of renewable energy targets and high increases in electricity prices, all done to increase the Green’s parliamentary numbers, a cynicism rarely seen in the major parties!
Watch them try and block a move to a carbon price next year!
And Bob Brown will move the Greens to the right of the Libs if he can. He is quite the Abbott admirer after all. “outgreening the Greens” on Abbott’s disastrous PPL thought bubble.
Of course the electricity rises in WA are due to Barnett needing to put up all charges to meet the disastrous royalties for regions.

More bullshitOf course the electricity rises in WA are due to Barnett needing to put up all charges to meet the disastrous royalties for regions.

We have power increases now because the previous liebor govt disasterously split the power utilities so badly they decided to freeze the ability to raise prices for 7 years. This has led to the power comp having to have massive increases now to make up for shoddy liebor govt practices. It also doesn't help the we are now paying for 4 CEOs pay packets instead of one thanks to liebor.
Oh and the "prices are increasing because there's no CPRS" is just another liebor bullshit spin line. You can guarantee that at any stage, with a CPRS/ carbon tax everything will be more fucking expensive. A lot fucking more
