This isn't a desirable outcome, I hope both parties work-through their post- electoral dysphoria and get things back on track sooner than later.
The longer the split the harder it'll be to reunite.
I don't believe it was due to nuclear power push ( I still think Nuclear power is a step in the right direction) ....

They'll dump Sussan Ley and reunite before the next election.

Good. I don't like her, just a feeling of course, I have not even delved into her history, other than whatever has made news that I recall off the top of my head, but I feel she's a Turncoat Turnball. I might see if I can substantiate this gut- feeling later on.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 12:04 pmThey'll dump Sussan Ley and reunite before the next election.
Abbott would know, as would Howard.
I'll delve into their views also. If they're not endorsing her, or have said zero words of support for her or a coalition split, then my gut feeling is on point. Often it's what's NOT said that's more important, reading between the lines.
As it should be when it comes to former leaders, PM'S having opinion's on their party's new leadership.
When either Howard or Abbott do say something, I listen carefully because it's more about the way it's said, or what isn't.
I can't imagine Howard or Abbott would be pleased with this split, however I'll bet Turnball is.

Howard has already spoken out and said this is a big mistake. The Coalition needs to remain a coalition.

Good old Howard, still holding the fort and being the voice of reason within a landscape of chaos.
They really need to heed his dire warning.
