Nuclear power is ok but does Australia have know how and competent personnel to build and service nuclear facilities on industrial scale?

We'll have to develop those skills. As opposed to importing them!

The problem always was lack of employment opportunity for nuclear engineers in Australia and now there is lack of nuclear engineers.
Have to brake this vicious circle sometime.

We've only got one nuclear engineering program in Australia at UNSW. We need to extend that.

But where will Australian nuclear engineers fresh out of uni practice to get practical competency and wages to keep them going?

Exactly, which is why we need to invest in home grown technologies using home grown natural resources.

There's limited security in renewable sources of energy, with nuclear energy, we can kill two birds with one stone.

We'd have to be stupid not to exploit our abundance of natural resources.

We need to get started, asap.
