Graceless and boofheaded Steven Miles in QLD

‘Pathetic’: Steven Miles slammed for ‘graceless’ speech after losing Queensland election.

Outgoing Queensland Premier Steven Miles has been slammed for a “graceless” and “boofheaded” election night speech in which he refused to concede.

Outgoing Queensland Premier Steven Miles has been slammed for a “graceless” election night speech in which he refused to concede or congratulate his opposition.

The Labor leader finally phoned his successor David Crisafulli to concede defeat on Sunday after the Liberal National Party won enough seats to form a majority government.

Mr Miles had faced widespread criticism over his speech on Saturday night in which he would not officially concede, stating the count was “too close to call”.

He failed to congratulate Mr Crisafulli and instead used his time to thank and congratulate his own MPs and supporters.

Former Labor MP and party elder statesman Graham Richardson slammed it as a “boofheaded performance”.

“It was as graceless as it was pathetic, I’m not going to defend that,” Mr Richardson told the Sky News election night panel.

“That was a load of crap and I’m very disappointed. I think you’ve got to show a lot more grace, you’ve got to be able to cop one on the chin, you’ve got to be able to lose well as well as win well in this game because both of those things will happen to you.”

I didn't know anything about this guy until I saw him on tv yesterday. He had this creepy cheesy and fake grin on his face the whole time he was talking.

I'm glad he lost. It's well past time Queenslanders had a change of government.

Good.

However I'm happier still that Qldlanders have given the boot to the Greens! That despicable party and their pro Palestine stance. Marching in all those protests arm in arm with the mussos! Then that shocking outburst by Lidia Thorpe!

Keep it up and there won't be a Greens Party in the future. Although those inner city elites will still vote for them I imagine but the ordinary rational voters out there have hopefully seen the light regarding the type of person now standing for the Greens which has now become the party of activists. :S

Greens 'were' good... very long ago.
But they are really as far removed from their traditional reason to exist, to having become nothing more than a politically aggressive 'Leftism' take-over.

I've stood there in the past with my long 'feral' dreads, schmelly 'feral uniform' and rings arguing (some 'argy-bargy' even) with these 'invasive' Lefties since the mid-90's.
They've basically 'usurped' and stolen the true Green party and turned it into the Lefty Media Show exploiting Politics for personal 'member' gains.
Since the 90's - I've dismissed the Greens Party entirely and even Shire Independents claiming to be 'environmental' warriors - are nothing more than covert Lefty (Narrative) hopefuls aiming for their free cafe-latte at some Boutique over-priced town ripping off Tourists and pensioners in buses.

Labor deserved to be booted, they're incompetent and corrupt .... par for the course in a way - incompetence breeds corruption, because the incompetent are easily manipulated.
Beatie brought in forced council amalgamations, on the premise it was to save money (just prior to GFC - must have known it was coming).
But it was just a scam to reduce local representation. Councils with money in the bank were taken over by councils with debt to form regional councils.
Now all councils except Noosa (which went to court to reverse its amalgamation) are in debt. Example; Mt perry had $6mil in the bank and plenty of equipment. They got taken over by Gayndah ($2mil+ in debt at the time) to form North Burnett Regional Council.
I was in Kolan Shire (Clown Shire Circus) .. taken over by Bundaberg Regional Council. It took 17 years for my rates to rise from $300p/a to $500p/a.
Since amalgamation they've risen on average $100p/a, now about $1300p/a ... flip side is they actually fix the (dirt) roads now.
Anna Bligh was appointed, then elected, and grew debt.
Anna Palazhay (phuk knows how her Czech name is spelt) fed the debt roids to make it impossible to pay back.
The unions tossed her out because Labor were on the nose.
Miles has spent the last year shining his seat and spending money Qld doesn't have on electrickery rebates and 50 cent train fares.

So Labor had to go. But Crissafully (sp?) hasn't really filled anybody with enthusiasm.
I hope he does well, but at face value he's a bit too queer eye for the Ken doll for me.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
