The media - again

Post by TomB » Fri May 21, 2010 10:40 pm

It is appalling in this day and age that a serving MP is forced to resign, by the media, because of their sexual preference. Being homo/bi-sexual doesn't preclude a person from being a good a family person.

I have been using every resource available to evaluate the situation in Thailand before my trip and have found independent sources such as Twitter to be far better than the big media in keeping up to date on the situation. It is also easier to rule out biased accounts by monitoring multiple sources.

Fuck the media. :P

Back safely from Thailand.

If we had relied on the mainstream media for our info we would probably not have even gone but by monitoring alternative media, Twitter etc. we were able to have a great holiday and never felt in any danger.

Here is a an Al Jazeera on line news presentation which discusses the issue in the first few minutes.

Be aware that the whole video is about 22 mins long

The better I get to know people, the more I find myself loving dogs.
