LABOR LIES ABANDON WORKERS AND STATE

Post by Serial Brain 9 » Thu Feb 28, 2019 1:32 pm

Two days ago Queensland’s treasurer trashed our state’s largest export income earner by falsely claiming economies were moving away from coal and blithely and callously suggesting the tens of thousands of coal workers needed to re-skill.

“Callously tossing Queensland coal miners on the scrap heap, Deputy Premier and Treasurer Jackie Trad showed the ugly reality of Bill Shorten’s Labor,” said Malcolm Roberts.

The former senator and lead senate candidate with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation emphasised coal miners’ vital role in the economies of south, central and north Queensland and Australia.

“Bill Shorten and the state Treasurer must fight for our nation’s leading export industry, especially with our state budget built on coal royalties and huge regional economic benefits.”

“The real world puts the lie to Shorten’s attacks on coal and to Trad’s suicide note for Queensland because forecasts are for continued massive growth in global thermal coal demand for power generation building on record coal exports of 223 million tonnes last year.”

“Why is she joining federal Labor’s lemming MPs and senators blindly pushing our country into an economic abyss to comply with Greens and United Nations climate lies?”

“I am proud and honoured to have started my working life as a coal miner, mostly underground across regional Queensland and NSW before mine management and executive management positions in our state, NSW and overseas.”

“Coal miners keep our lights on at night, enable cars, appliances, and every aspect of our lives needing steel from food growing and processing to transport, health services, entertainment and water supply and to ignore this fact is ideological and highly destructive dishonesty.”

“As a senator I cross-examined CSIRO on climate and it admitted CSIRO has never said there is danger from human carbon dioxide output and went further saying it never will.”

Under my cross-examination CSIRO admitted that current temperatures are not unprecedented, a startling admission undermining both Liberal and Labor claims.

Deceitfully, Trad and Shorten ignore that Queensland’s prime coking coal essential for steel-making reached 154 million tonnes in 2017 the latest year available for state government production figures, and almost double the 83 million tonnes of thermal coal that year.

In ignoring coking coal Trad and others confirm their push against thermal coal for power stations is ideologically and politically driven to serve Greens and United Nations dictates.

Only One Nation has policies to end the dishonest war on coal: end all large-scale subsidies for costly intermittent and unreliable wind and solar schemes; withdraw from the UN’s Paris “Agreement”; support construction of coal-fired power stations for reliable and secure power.

Trad’s ideological rant is anti-worker and anti-Queensland and comes after she was re-elected in 2017 on LNP preferences.
That’s hardly surprising since LNP policy is to double the current 14 per cent Renewable Energy level to an insane 28 per cent costing Australians $73 billion over the next ten years.

Labor’s even worse policy will raise power prices 50 per cent, cost every worker $9,000 and take almost half a trillion dollars out of our nation’s economy, already under pressure.

Roberts asked: “Why do both failed old parties want to cripple our economy and export jobs to China whose annual increase alone in carbon dioxide exceeds Australia’s total production?”
Why do people keep voting for their own demise?

Its like the debate about becoming a republic - never ever vote for it - NEVER
