The Federal Government has cancelled a sitting week for the House of Representatives to allow the Senate to finish debating the same-sex marriage bill before it goes to the Lower House.

It's called a 'distraction' aka red herring.
The duel citizenship fiasco has left Turncoat without a guaranteed majority in the HoR, and so Labor see this as their moment to push for a banking Royal Commission, which is likely to get up with rebel Nat MP's votes.
Turncoat was an investment banker for Goldman Sachs and doesn't want a Royal Commission dragging up old dirt for the same reason Shortarse opposed the Royal Commission into Unions.
