Gee there are a lot of mainstream brands on that halal list. I was not aware so many brands were halal. It looks like it's harder to buy non halal than it is to buy halal.Black Orchid wrote:Halal Choices. Lobby politicians to force them to do something about labelling laws.

Support non halal brands. They are the lesser on the list![]()

That's the sum of it and they are not obliged to advertise it. It's a rort and most of us are buying halal products and contributing to this unawares.skippy wrote:It looks like it's harder to buy non halal than it is to buy halal.
Kosher certification is a few hundred per year and, at my local supermarket, they have their own signed section.
Halal certification can cost many tens of thousands per year and are on just about EVERY shelf with the majority not labelled as such.

That's because most foodstuffs are halal, and always have been.skippy wrote:It looks like it's harder to buy non halal than it is to buy halal.
Psst, all you halal haters... heterosexual sex between married couples is halal. You know what you have to do, to make your protest vote against halal now, don't you

Most meat was always halal except for the facing Mecca bit.
We used to cut their throats and let them bleed to death. That's what we ate when we were kids. Then we would stun them and cut their throats immediately.... same thing but a little more humane so they were not brain alive as they die. Do this while facing Mecca, you have Halal.

Paid halal certification charges for all heterosexual married couples? Great idea boxy, I am sure you would vote for that tooboxy wrote:That's because most foodstuffs are halal, and always have been.skippy wrote:It looks like it's harder to buy non halal than it is to buy halal.
