Shell is planning four LNG trains for Gladstone. Work for the workers there sacked by Rio. Also iron ore prices not too down in the new contracts, 33% less rather than 55% less. That and the Rio/BHP merger in the Pilbara might get Rio to increase production in Gladstone.

That is good news, there have been plenty of job losses here. With close proximity to large gasfields Gladstone is a prime choice for gas processing and export. Has been talked about for a few years, let's hope it gets up soon.
