It's called democracy for a reason, Rorsch. You elected your government, you put them in power, therefore you share responsibility for their actions even if you voted for the other guy, because hey, it's all about majority rule when you get right down to it. To say otherwise would be dishonest as all hell and ignorant of basic political fact.

If you are lucky 30% elected the Government. The rest voted against it or had to settle for it.

So do you agree with all your government decisions are they representative of the majority of Americans? I doubt that very much because it isn't the case in Australia on many issues. So it's STUPID saying Australia or Australians as an entirety are responsible or accept the decisions of government or ceos, particularly the latter.

We both live in what at their most basic level are representitive democracies. We vote on those we want to represent us in government and sometimes we don't get what we want. As citizens of our respective nations we hold a responsibility for our governments. The flipside of that responsibility is we enjoy certain rights and privileges, in theory safeguarded by our governments.

So yes, when talking with Australians about issues pertaining to Australian politics it is entirely correct to say "you" in the manner I previously indicated. To say otherwise would be the same as you saying you are not an Australian or me saying that I am not an American.

Sorry buddy, I know all about Democracy and English funnily enough.
You can't go around defaming half the population or more the way you do and not be seen as stupid.

(Para)"You Australians are stupid for dropping your tariffs.... "
Really, so all Australians decided it was a good idea. :du
You'd be lucky if more than a handful of bureaucrats were involved in free trade negotiations... lump in 2 ministers and their so-called advisors and there you don't have the entire population of Australia.

Etc, etc, etc.

And those trade representitives were either appointed or hired by the government that you, as a people, elected. Therefore ultimately the behavior of a government is reflective of its people, for good or ill.

Also, sometimes you don't get your way, even with voting. Be an adult and deal with it.

Chard knows, he does the same thing!

American Trade representative. The head of the office holds the title of United States Trade Representative (USTR), which is a Cabinet-level position, though not technically within the Cabinet, as is the case with office heads not of US Departments but rather of offices contained within the Executive Office of the President. To fill the post, the President nominates someone for the position, and the appointment is then approved or rejected by a simple majority of the Senate. The United States Trade Representative and Deputy United States Trade Representatives (DUSTR) carry the title of Ambassador.

Michael Froman is the current US Trade Representative, with Michael Punke and Miriam Sapiro serving as Deputy US Trade Representatives. Ambassador Punke also concurrently serves as the U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Tariffs have their place but for Australia, they are generally a fucking retarded idea. Protectionism just delays the inevitable and retards the growth of what can truly be excelled and removes the focus on competitive industry.

Australia is too small for protectionism in a global market.

You sound like a broken record... seems you just don't get it.
If all Americans agreed with government decisions Chard there would be no impasses in Congress now would there and no need for elections.

Oh and as for being an adult STFU you idiot... I accept with true grace and respect for democracy every election result you retard... insult someone else...
You just can't help yourself can you you egotistical twat.
