My 1st solar panel (brief case) cost $80, my 2nd solar panel, a roof top type I got by climbing down into the pit at Mt Perry tip.
I covered the cracks in the glass with clear roof & gutter silicone. I use these to charge four 12 volt batteries. The last truck battery I got for $120 and would recomend Besco batteries no problem. Century batteries have gone to $#!+ .. no quality any more.
My very last battery (calcium) I paid $300 for but put it in my 4WD truck.
I don't have air con, I sweat it out every day, but I don't pay for electrickery
