Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury has been appointed Canberra’s de facto Lord Mayor in Chief Minister Katy Gallagher’s new cabinet.
Mr Rattenbury will take on the Territory and Municipal Services portfolio in the new Labor-Greens power-sharing arrangements.
He will also be responsible for Corrections, Housing, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs and Ageing.

Great stuff, a Greenie in charge of pot holes, Government Housing, and the Hume Hilton? Hume Hilton is the new Alexander Maconochie Centre where the inmates are complaining that they don't have real access to the Internet!

I am sure he is extremely PROUD!
I imagine that Shane has more interest in Andrew Barr and the Rainbow Club.

Mr Seselja says the Queensland Government is building a 13 kilometre light rail project on the Gold Coast as part of a $1 billion public private partnership.
He is questioning how the ACT Government plans to build a 12 kilometre track between Gungahlin in Canberra's north and the city centre for $614 million.
"That's about half the amount that it's costing in Queensland and that's just the capital cost not the recurrent costs," he said.
"I think there's no doubt they're underestimating it."
ACT Sustainable Development Minister Simon Corbell says every project is different.
"In the Gold Coast they have additional costs such as land acquisition, tunnelling and bridges which aren't required for the Canberra project," he said.
Canberra, cheaper than the Gold Coast... who would'a guessed it?
"But you will run your fluffy bunny mouth at me. And I will take it, to play poker."

The ACT Government isn't worth a piece of shit. Still, the AIR is clean and I manage very well, I avoid the pubes, etcetera
